Boone’s Lick Road got it’s name from a trail that was blazed west in the early 1800’s to a salt lick located in East Central Missouri. Boone’s Lick Road Leather Company was created to echo a mindset from the past where durable handmade leather goods were a necessity.

I make all the leather items by hand, striving to use American Made materials whenever I can. My main item is a 100% USA made leather belt. All the materials for that belt are made in right here supporting seven small, medium and large American businesses.

I am a leatherworker, outdoorsman and beekeeper who enjoys learning and practicing self reliant skills. I try to bring that mindset into the leather goods I make and everything I do.

Having taught leather working in my own community for years I’ve brought that learning opportunity online to the outdoor skills learning platform Outdoorcore.

I occasionally write about outdoor leather care and homesteading skills with work featured at Willowhaven Outdoors Blog and Backwoods Survival Guide Magazine. Both are great sources of learning, covering many aspects of homesteading, self reliance and wilderness survival.
