100% USA Made Leather Strop. Rough out (suede) leather on one side and 1000 grit Dura-Gold Premium Ceramic long board style sandpaper on the opposite side. This is for a knife that is not totally dull but needs some touch up before stropping. Will not sharpen a completely dull or damaged blade-has to be some edge left. 1000 is a very fine grit.

Many custom and semi-custom knives are sharpened with the help of some sort of abrasive belt so the sandpaper method is in keeping with that process. 600 to a 1000 grit sandpaper and stropping are all I typically use on my knives. If you keep up with a strop and give edges a few swipes before it gets completely dull you will avoid complete re-sharpening.

Strop is approximately 16 ¼ long and 2 ¾ wide with a 2 3/4” wide by 10 ¼” long stropping surface. Comes with one extra sheet of ceramic coated Dura-Gold self adhesive 1000 grit paper. Reclaimed birch hardwood paddle.
